Mommy-Son date

About a week ago J and I had an actual date night. As we were explaining our evening to the kids Boo was so sad because he wanted a date too. I promised to have one with him and today was our lunch date. E and I went to Cinnamon House. When he got two straws he was so excited that we could share a cup! It was a fun little lunch date. When we ordered I said "and my date will have" and Boo got all smiley cute. Later Boo asked if he could take his nap in my bed. As I was pondering the question I repeated "can you sleep in my bed?" right as the waiter walked up to the table. I turned quite red!

Confessions of a Mom with a Nanny

Generally when I come home from work the house is in a decent state. Things look equal or better than when I left in the morning. The other confession is that the infant is covered in pen marks and Boo is dressed in a skirt since he wanted to wear what I was wearing.

The next stop was a charity book store which focuses on getting books out to all kids in the community.  It's donation based so you offer what you want.  I see this as a very expensive library method as I tend to return the books after a while.  I could just as easily donate the money but the picking out of the books is what makes it so great.  As we're going through our standard prioritzation exercise to get down to the three books I was allowing I notice Kellan pooping.  Since he tends to go all out I figured ...
